San Diego and Imperial District Export Council (SDIDEC)

The SDIDEC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides regional leadership on international trade matters to the San Diego and Imperial County communities. Its 25 plus council members are international trade veterans and trade experts appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce. Utilizing a unique relationship with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s U.S. Commercial Service, Council members provide trade advocacy, support international trade education and promote the growth of exports from the San Diego and Imperial region through community outreach and by working with like-minded local and regional trade organizations. 

The DEC Mission

District Export Councils encourage and support exports of goods and services that strengthen individual companies, stimulate U.S. economic growth and create jobs. Export expansion activities are accomplished by working with the U.S. Export Assistance Centers to provide opportunities to promote greater export activity at the local level while developing a trade assistance network.
